Follow on Google News | Call of Duty Infinite Warfare "Black Screen" Fix ReleasedA new tutorial has been released, showcasing a fix for the Call of Duty Infinite Warfare "Black Screen" error. This error has become a recurring issue for many COD Infinite Warfare players, resulting in quite a backlash throughout the COD community.
By: PCFixes.com The tutorial explains that the black screen issue is normally caused by an inability for the system to connect to the graphics (video) output for your computer. The most common cause of this is that your graphics driver is either incorrect, faulty or causing issues. The way to resolve it is to ensure you have the latest driver, as well as fixing any known issues inside the Windows system directly. The first step is to make sure you have the latest graphics driver. Most systems ship with NVidia graphics processors now - although you may have an AMD / ATI chip. Depending on which you have, you need to download the latest driver installation package from the vendor's website and let it run. This will then allow you to install the driver that Windows 10 requires to run. If installing the graphics driver does not work, the tutorial then suggests you need to make sure you have a series of Windows fixes in place. Specifically, you need to disconnect any external (HDMI) monitors, as well as remove any potentially conflicting hardware (USB drives etc). This will remove any of the conflicts that Windows could have in the interior of the system, allowing your PC to run the COD Infinite Warfare game without any issues. Finally, it may also be the case that you have incompatible hardware on your system. COD Infinite Warfare requires at least 8GB of RAM and a very high powered graphics card. If your machine falls below these - or other compatibility - standards, you'll end up with a game which either doesn't work, or works extremely slowly / unreliably that it's not worth playing. The only fix for this is to either upgrade the system (which of course costs money), or stop other applications running so that COD Infinite Warfare runs as smoothly as possible.
