Quicklink TX used to connect international funeral service

SWANSEA, Wales - Nov. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- The Quicklink TX user and rental company GEOCAST media were approached by Farewell Center & Crematorium 'Andringastate' with the goal of integrating a high quality live Skype connection during a funeral service. As a result of using the Quicklink TX, relatives from Sydney and Melbourne in Australia were able to participate in the service which was being held in The Netherlands. During the service, the family members in Australia were able to communicate and speak with the congregation in The Netherlands.

GEOCAST media connected the Quicklink TX to the in-house equipment using a professional HD-SDI connection. The in-house camera system was connected to the Quicklink TX machine to give the relatives a return signal of the service. The incoming video was then displayed onto a video wall in the Farewell Centre.

During a funeral service, there must be no disturbances. By using the Quicklink TX the video connection was seamlessly integrated in the HD broadcasting workflow of the Farewell Centre without any pop-ups or other distractions. The service was also livestreamed online and recorded for those who were unable to make it to the service.
