Scott Hanselman to speak at The Tech Academy's Tech Talk this Friday, Nov 4th @ 1 PM

PORTLAND, Ore. - Nov. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- We are excited announce Scott Hanselman as our guest speaker for this week's Tech Talk! The event will be held this Friday November 4^th at 1 PM in The Tech Academy classroom.

Known for his dynamic speaking, we are thrilled to extend this invitation not only to our students and alumni, but anyone with an interest in tech! Hanselman, a programmer, writer, teacher, and speaker, will be giving a talk on ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, and Microsoft's Open Source Journey.

Our speaker this week has quite the impressive resume. Currently working for the Web Platform Team from Microsoft, his programming background includes creating and selling the first Diabetes Management System for Palm Pilot and teaching at OIT. As well as being a successful programmer and software development advocate, Scott Hanselman has authored 3 books, two on ASP.NET and one titled Relationship Hacks. As if it weren't enough, Hanselman also has three tech related podcasts, a YouTube channel, and a blog.

This week's event, as well as all Tech Academy Tech Talks, are free and open to the public. The event begins at 1 PM, and guests are welcome and encouraged to join us after for food, refreshments, and the company of fellow coding enthusiasts!
