Sales Education Foundation Hosts 2nd Session of 2016 Faculty Certification

Certification provides educators with full use of SEF's Career Development Program, aligning sales students with professional roles

DAYTON, Ohio - Nov. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- The Sales Education Foundation (SEF) hosted a first-ever 2nd session of their 2016 Faculty Certification Program in Dayton, Ohio recently. This academic workshop provides sales educators at partner universities with tools to use in their curriculum. Once certified, faculty have preferred access to SEF's Career Development Program which focuses on career guidance for sales students. As the benefit of a university sales education receives more recognition from the business community at large, many sales programs report 100% job placement for their graduates; almost double that of the overall graduating population.

Attending certification and joining the Class of 2016 were: Claudia C. Mich, Ph.D., from Purdue University Northwest; Darrell E. Bartholomew, Ph.D., from Penn State Harrisburg; James S. Boles, Ph.D., from The University of North Carolina Greensboro; Laura Munoz, Ph.D., from University of Dallas and Vince Howe, Ph.D., from University of North Carolina Wilmington. Since 2009, SEF has provided certification to nearly 100 university sales educators.

One participant provided the following feedback: "The SEF Faculty Certification was extremely valuable. Having just launched a sales minor this fall (2016), I look forward to using the assessment to more effectively guide students in choosing a sales career that is a good fit."

Through a partnership with GrowthPlay, www.growthplay.com, SEF is able to provide university sales students with access to individual assessment results. More than 14,000 students have completed the assessment and received valuable feedback assisting with future sales career alignment.

The growth of university professional sales programs continues at an accelerated pace.  In the SEF's 2016 Annual magazine, featuring the "Top Universities for Professional Selling" listing, 124 universities worldwide were featured with pertinent data published on each sales program. These programs are recognized for their preparation of top candidates and attention to relevant sales research. Those schools, along with others building a sales program, are invited to participate in the Career Development Program.
