Novas at Carlisle Officially Announced for 2017 Event Weekend

CARLISLE, Pa. - Oct. 27, 2016 - PRLog -- When Carlisle Events announced the placement of the Carlisle Chevrolet Nationals onto its season schedule in the place of the former Carlisle GM Nationals, a promise was made to make the weekend bigger and better than its previous incarnation.  To date, that promise has come true with the addition of the National Nostalgic Nova Club and their tremendously popular national Nova meet.  Novas at Carlisle becomes part of the showfield starting June 23, 2017 and for three days, guests can see hundreds of some of the finest muscle ever produced by the Chevrolet brand.

In the past, the National Nostalgic Nova Club would hold its national meet in various locations, including Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  However, the 2017 partnership will bring this "show within a show" to Carlisle.  That means that throughout the event weekend, all fans of the Nova, regardless of club affiliation, are welcome to be part of this huge Nova show field.   Nova classes have been expanded for 2017, and club members are working on recruiting some especially nice cars to display under the north portion of the onsite pavilion.  All Novas will be parked in the blue showfield, right beside Building Y and along one of the main avenues of the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, giving them a great place to display while still remaining a part of the main show.  Registration for Nova classes is still the same as in years past and is available now at www.CarlisleEvents.com.  Best of all, there are even more Nova classes to pick from!  All cars are also still eligible for the same awards as in previous years.

On top of the special display cars, Novas at Carlisle will also feature several seminars geared towards Nova tech and history. A special highlight for 2017 will be a nod towards 50 years of the 1967 Nova.  This is a great new feature for fans of Chevy's cool compact, so be sure to come out and join your fellow Nova nuts in June!

Along with the Nova showcase, the event features a 50^th anniversary celebration of the Camaro and Firebird, as well as the GM Muscle Car Showdown spotlighting some of the best Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Buick rides to roll off the assembly line.  There's also the Solid Lifter Showroom, a unique showcase of top-notch GM supercars such as Yenkos and COPOs, a pace car display open to any pace vehicle themed to any track, autocross, onsite installs, vendors and so much more.  Along with the Nova Clubs, all Chevy, Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Cadillac themed car clubs are invited to attend.  These clubs should consider Carlisle as THE place to meet with other club members, many times under a FREE TENT as part of the Club Tent Program, all while being immersed in a sea of automotive excellence.
