L.A. Wolves FC vs Inland Empire

The L.A. Wolves head into the second round of qualifications on a high note with a nine-game winning streak on the line between league play and qualifying matches. The Wolves have scored 15 goals in their previous two UPSL matches and the Wolves also have tallied 49 goals in their eight matches in league play thus far this season.

L.A. Wolves President/GM Yan Skwara said, "This is obviously an important match for the club as we take the U.S. Open Cup tournament very serious. Inland Empire is going to fight hard so our guys need to be ready for a challenge. I think if we can stick with our game and do what we are capable of doing, we should be fine but we take nothing for granted as we know any team can beat any team on any given day. We look forward to a positive result."

The Wolves will be going into this match with much to boast on defense especially after the recent stalwart displays coming from Defenders Daniel Hubert, Gonzalo Salguero, Xavier Fuerte, and Kevin Garcia. Garcia and Salguero have been making fantastic overlapping runs into the attacking half of the pitch, which opens up the game. The Wolves bench also offer strong depth and pace with Defender Lalo Ramirez, Forward, Luis Mora, Midfielder Chris Lopez and Forward "Tarzan" Fernandez being always ready to add into the game both on attack and defense.

The L.A. Wolves also have much to boast about in the midfield with Midfielders Paolo Cardoza, Henry Escobar, Sori Keita, Duncan Capriotti, and Joel Ampofo dictating the pace.

Wolves Forwards Charles Pitts, Miguel Sanchez and Shannon Murphy have played their part on the score line, scoring on opposing defenders relentlessly this season.

L.A. Wolves Midfielders Henry Escobar and Paolo Cardoza also have been on fire the last few games giving the L.A. Wolves more pace and creativity on the left and right side of midfield. The two have found themselves on the score sheet in the most recent matches for the Wolves.
