Besides a sanctum containing murtis of various deities, a garden and waterfront is also planned. Presently, Abu Dhabi Hindus travel to Dubai, over 150 kilometers away, for worship services, reports suggest. Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada today, thanked Abu Dhabi for its support to the Hindu temple and urged all the countries of the world, which do not have a Hindu place of worship, to provide help in raising a Hindu temple. Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, stated that in view of their considerable numbers all over the world; various national governments should step forward and respond to the requirements of its Hindu residents to help raise a temple for rituals, quiet reflection, festivals and spiritual exercise; which would help in their personal growth. Rajan Zed noted that it would be a step in the positive direction signaling inclusivity and freedom of religion. It was important to meet the spiritual needs of Hindu residents.
