PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. - Oct. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- In celebration of the One Year Anniversary of the new Tieken Studio and Gallery in Paradise Valley, Arizona, Fred & Gail Tieken are honored to present The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, showcasing the joint exhibition of acclaimed Los Angeles based artists Emmeric Konrad and Richard Kessler.  This show will offer art fans and collectors a unique opportunity to see both of these urban LA Art scene legends in one carefully curated show. The work is influenced by modern artists such as Marcel Duchamp, Willem de Kooning, Ed Ruscha and Robert Rauschenberg but each artist offers a unique style and strong voice all his own. The images are pop-infused, gritty and often perverse.

Emmeric Konrad  is an artist reminiscent of the artists of the late seventies and early eighties. His paintings are humorously manic expressions of innocently troubled characters interacting and willfully acting out, a result of his contrary experiences between his service in the military and that of the art world. Konrad served four years in the United States Marine Corps, going on to be traditionally trained in the arts and receive his Bachelor of Fine Art from Otis College of Art and Design. Konrad has been a staple of the downtown Los Angeles art scene since 1991. His work has been exhibited internationally in Tokyo, Munich and Berlin.

Richard Kessler is a pop deconstructionist artist whose work is influenced by the Dadaist art movement as well as the early punk rock scene. He received his Bachelor of Fine Art from Washington University in St Louis, Missouri. For the last 30 years, Kessler has been a fixture of the downtown Los Angeles art and film scene. In addition to his art he also has written a number of independent movie scripts and thus endured both rejection and acceptance as a painter and a scriptwriter. His work lovingly dissects the sensuous, decaying landscape of industrial downtown LA.

The Show's Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, November 12th from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. This is an invitation-only event and you must be on the RSVP list to be admitted to the show on opening night. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served and complimentary valet parking will be provided to all guests. In addition to the show, guests will experience a light-filled botanical garden complemented with sculptures and a working artist studio.

An Artist Reception will be held on Saturday, November 26th from 2:00pm-5:00pm with artist discussions and live paintings. Artists will be present for both events.

Private and group showings are available by appointment during the run of the exhibition. The Good, The Bad, The Ugly will be on display at the Tieken Gallery from November 12th through December 12th, 2016.
