LOS ANGELES - Oct. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- The L.A. Wolves FC continued their winning streak Sunday night with a display of composed professionalism against the Irvine Outcasts scoring a big win 9-0.

The match opened with the Irvine Outcasts pressing the Wolves into their own half. The Wolves endured one late scare on their goal but were quick to ease the pressure put on them. The Wolves scored their first goal of the match inside five minutes coming from a quick counter. Miguel Sanchez was able to pick out the run of Henry Escobar who slotted in his shot to give the 1-0 lead to the Wolves.

The L.A. Wolves went on to grab their second goal quickly after they netted the first goal. Henry Escobar outran his mark to find Kevin Garcia unmarked at the top of the Irvine Outcasts box, the right back one timed a magnificent volley to extend the lead to 2-0. The Wolves looked to add more to their lead before the halftime break. Paolo Cardozo took the Wolves lead to 3-0 after some wonderful individual skill that saw the midfielder round the opposing goalie. Shannon Murphy would grab a fourth for the Wolves forcing an own goal from the opposing defense.

The L.A. Wolves were also clinical in the midfield and defense with Joel Ampofo and Duncan Capriotti breaking up the Irvine Outcasts' attempts to break out of their half for the counter. Daniel Hubert, Xavier Fuerte, Kevin Garcia, and Gonzalo Salguero were not only able to cope with the Outcasts early high press but the outside backs were crucial for the L.A. Wolves attacking on the flanks.

The L.A. Wolves were exuberant when returning from the halftime break with sub and newcomer Forward, Reed McKenna immediately finding himself on the score sheet. Reed McKenna was actually a handful for the Irvine Outcasts being able to put himself in fantastic positions to capitalize for the Wolves. McKenna would net a hat trick 20 minutes after the start of the second half. The match did not end after Reed's hat trick either. Paolo Cardozo would go on to net his second goal of the match minutes before Reed notched his fourth goal of the match.

The match ended with the L.A. Wolves winning 9-0 against the Irvine Outcasts who played with heart. The new addition of Reed McKenna to the Wolves attacking lineup would certainly add more depth to the Wolves.

L.A. Wolves Head Coach Michael Collins said, "We have at least 14-16 players that can start each game at any position and having those 3 to four other guys that can jump in any position is priceless. It was a solid performance tonight as we get ready for our big U.S Open Cup qualifier in two weeks.

The depth and versatility was on display for the Wolves this match with Reed McKenna's four-goal tally for just playing 45 minutes. Substitutes Chris Lopez and "Tarzan" Fernandez found themselves playing as wingbacks in this match against the Irvine Outcasts. Chris and "Tarzan" definitely showed their abilities to fill in those positions if the need were to come.

The L.A. Wolves continue to prepare for the U.S Open Cup Qualifier slated for October 23, 2016 as they play on the road versus Inland Empire FC at Jarupa Sports Complex @ 7:30 PM.
