Arun Singh is a technical entrepreneur, a keen photographer and an avid traveler. His other passion is Golf and English literature. Photography has been his passion since school days. During engineering education at NIT, Kurukshetra, he was, for many years, secretary of the Photography Club. He won several awards at college, state and national level including College Color for photography. He was also the touring secretary of his college. Nature and wild-life being main area of interest, he regularly visits several Tiger Reserves of India like Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Corbet and Ranthambore.

Several exhibitions of his photographs have been held, including a solo exhibition of his work at the Allahabad University in 2014. He belongs to a traditional landed family of Banaras and is involved with many charitable and philanthropic activities. He is President of a family run society which manages a  Girls Intermediate College, with more than 1500 students, at his village Ilia, near Varanasi.
