By: Christian Healing Center Two Methodist churches, one Baptist Church, and the Christian Healing Center came together to open this center. "97% of pastors have been betrayed, falsely accused, or hurt by their trusted friends," said Daniel Murray, Director of the Christian Healing Center. "70% of pastors battle depression so we wanted to provide a retreat and refuge where those that serve others can connect with God, receive healing and empowerment in a confidential and safe spiritual environment," The eight-acre property is situated so that visitors can watch the sunrise in the morning and the sunset over the lake at night. People visit their pastors for counsel and prayer, however, where does a pastor and their spouse go in their time of need? The Ministers at the Christian Healing Center have prayed for pastors who have been healed of emotional and spiritual traumas that have scarred or wounded their souls. Other ministers they prayed for in the past were healed physically and family relationships were restored. Pastors work long hours, (55-75 hrs per week), carry other's personal problems, and many times experience burn out. A recent survey showed that 1,500 Pastors in the U. S. quit every month. These servants of God need a place of rest and restoration, an oasis of peace and tranquility where they can spend quiet time with God. Pastors, ministers and combat veterans can request healing prayers from trained prayer ministers with complete confidence and trust. We will also invite combat veterans once a month to come for healing of the traumas and emotional wounds received on the front lines. The pastors and veterans encounter similar deep wounds to their souls and their emotions from the hurts of the past that can hold them captive to these negatives. We do not charge a fee for those that stay at the Shalom Healing Home, however, we do suggest that they make a donation so we can pay the expenses of this ministry.
