Dallas Cowboy Fans Plant A Flag In "Redskins Country"

WASHINGTON - Sept. 6, 2016 - PRLog -- On Sunday, September the 11th, in the heart of "Redskins Country," Parlay Sports Restaurant & Lounge (a Washington DC based Dallas Cowboys bar) will commemorate the upcoming 2016 football season by hosting their second annual "Football Funday Sunday" watch party.  The event will feature the highly anticipated match-up between the New York Giants and "America's Team" the Dallas Cowboys, and will also include special promotions, opportunities to win Dallas Cowboys memorabilia and collectibles during the game, along with free giveaways from co-sponsors Bud Light and Tito's Vodka.

Parlay Sports Restaurant & Lounge has developed quite a reputation within the DMV community for their savory wings, meat-off-the-bone prime rib and of course, their loyal Dallas Cowboys fan base.  However, they've also managed to become a hub for Cowboys fans from around the world, including DFW sports writers, radio personalities and bloggers.  Last December, Parlay served as host to an intimate setting of special guest, as Emmy-winning analyst and Cowboys insider Mike Fisher, sat and shared some of his "behind the scenes" stories.  Other guest included ESPN/ Cowboys reporter Todd Archer, and Cowboys podcast host/ blogger KD Drummond.

"It's not easy being a Cowboys fan in DC.  So, we just wanted to give both, the local and visiting fan base an energetic, no-hassle place to watch the games, eat great food and cheer for their favorite team," says owner, Michael Jelencovich.

As usual, the Dallas Cowboys will lead the NFL in the amount of nationally televised games, which traditionally affects most fan based bars.  However, this doesn't appear to be the case at Parlay. Jelencovich added, "It's huge.  I think It says a lot about the family-type atmosphere that we've developed.  We've got people from Northern Virginia, Maryland and of course DC, all with the opportunity to stay at home (or close to home) and watch the games.  But, they choose to come here, and be a part of something special each and every week.  Win or lose."
