KENT, Ohio - Sept. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Kent State University's College of Business Administration will host its fourth annual VanBenthuysen Top Student Scholars Showcase on Friday, October 7. The event will take place at the Kent State University Ballroom in the Student Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The showcase brings together top undergraduate and graduate business students with a 3.0 GPA or higher and offers organizations an opportunity to network with top students and create an interview schedule for the day.

To participate, students must complete a three-step process to prepare for the showcase: a resume review, mock interview and a professional development workshop. These requirements will prepare students for a successful showcase enabling them to network effectively with corporate recruiters.

"The VanBenthuysen Top Student Scholar Showcase is a unique event in that it provides an early look at our highest performing students, given they must complete three requirement to be able to attend," said Erin Nunn, Director in the Career Services Office. "Unlike a traditional career fair, the opportunity to pre-select students to interview one-on-one throughout the day in addition to networking makes it a worthwhile investment for recruiters."

The College's dedicated on-site Career Services Office is comprised of two staff teams who coordinate the showcase; the Career Advising Team who works to provide successful internships and career searches through customized career advising and career development workshops and the Employer Relations Team which partners with corporations for recruitment and hiring by connecting them with talented business students.
