October Jazz Preview: "An Evening of Ballads & Blues" : 39th Annual John Coltrane Memorial Concert

BOSTON - Sept. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- The Friends of John Coltrane Memorial Concert (fJCMC) announce their initial plans for this year's 39th Annual John Coltrane Memorial Concert, entitled "An Evening of Ballads & Blues" featuring the following ensemble members: Carl Atkins, Billy Buss, Consuelo Candelaria, Jeff Galindo, Jason Palmer, Bill Pierce, Ron Savage, Avery Sharpe, Rick Stepton, Stan Strickland and Bobby Tynes. Eric Jackson will serve as host for the concert.

The complete repertoire for the concert will become available in early September.

The John Coltrane Memorial Concert is co-produced by Leonard Brown, Professor Emeritus of Music & African American Studies at Northeastern University, and Emmett G. Price III, Professor of Worship, Church & Culture and Dean of Chapel (Hamilton Campus) at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
