SCORE Volusia/Flagler & Bethune-Cookman University Reveal Key Note Speaker/Emcee for BizFest

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Aug. 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Volusia/Flagler SCORE Chapter 87 and Bethune-Cookman University are pleased to announce their keynote speaker for BizFest is Heather Post, President and CEO of The Heather Post Companies. Her topic will be "Promoting a Culture of Professionalism." Wendy Sellers, a managing partner with BlackRain Partners, LLC, will be an afternoon speaker and her topic will be "Cross Generational Marketing". Michael Zaharious is a Program Director with the Florida High Tech Corridor Council and will serve as the emcee.

Heather is an award-winning speaker and instructor. She is a retired law enforcement officer/detective, and has combined her 20 years of real world experience in public service, teaching and communications with professional development expertise, teaching that you don't have to be perfect, you need only the skills to adapt and respond appropriately to your environment. Gaining valuable life lessons beginning with the struggles of leaving home at the age of 14, Heather is now an award-winning body language and situational awareness expert, has built two businesses from the ground up and considers her goal to be the success of others. In her keynotes, Heather brings a realism to the stage that rivals most others. She is truly passionate about her message and has an uncanny way of relating to audiences of varying backgrounds and ages. Instructing nationwide, she provides the highest potential "real-world" skill sets from the university level to the corporate world to the realm of public safety. Clients include Fortune 500 companies and international organizations. She is routinely featured in the national media as an expert in her field and was highlighted as an American Success Story on FOX Business Network's show Making Money with Charles Payne out of New York. Wendy Sellers, MHR, MHA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP Managing Partner
BlackRain Partners, LLC. With experience in companies of different life cycles, industries, size and ownership types, Wendy offers clients honest, open, business-minded consulting with a sense of urgency. She guides them through change management, employee relations and leadership challenges. Wendy is extremely passionate about delivering sound solutions that address real-business issues. Her focus always remains on the bottom line. She has a Masters Degree in Human Resources, a Masters in Health Care Administration, Her certifications include SPHR and SHRM-SCP. The emcee of the event will be Michael Zaharious. A native of Volusia County, Michael Zaharios III received a bachelor and Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. For nearly 10 years he has served as the Program Director for the state-wide Florida Virtual Entrepreneur Center, an online economic development initiative powered by the Florida High Tech Corridor Council. A strong advocate for entrepreneurship, Michael is always seeking ways to help others achieve their goals and aspirations. Michael's entrepreneurial career began at a very young age through his involvement with his family's longstanding automotive repair business based in Daytona Beach. Today, he uses his knowledge and experience to empower other entrepreneurs by helping them find resources to aid and accelerate their success. He also encourages organizations and communities across Florida to support programs and initiatives that benefit entrepreneurs. Michael gives back through serving on the Daytona Regional Chamber's Leadership Daytona Alumni Council, Central Florida Partnership's Young Professionals Advisory Council and as an organizer for 1 Million Cups, Startup Weekend and Elevate Daytona Beach.

Panel discussions at BizFest include 'How to be an Entrepreneur' and 'Social Media Marketing'. Round table discussions include; Business Insurance, Financing Your Business, Healthcare Plans and Free SCORE Services.

The Volusia/Flagler SCORE Chapter celebrated its 50th year serving clients in 2015. Last year, they provided over 1,400 counseling services for some 775 entrepreneurs, many of whom have gone on to start businesses or improve existing businesses. In addition, the Chapter conducts free workshop programs, in collaboration with the UCF Incubator, which attracted over 2,100 attendees last year. The Chapter has also received the Platinum Rating by the National SCORE Organization as one of the top Chapters nationwide.
