AngMar Retail Group Poised to Double in Size

MANSFIELD, Texas - Aug. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- In the year since AngMar Companies announced the hire of John Geyerman as Vice President of Operations over AngMar Companies Retail Group, the company reports increased profit and growth across the brands and unveils an aggressive new expansion strategy already in the works.

The Mansfield-based company is established in the community with five retail offerings, each excelling in its varied products and services. The properties currently operate in Mansfield and Burleson, with plans to expand across North Texas and into other regions of the state under Geyerman's leadership.

"When we brought Geyerman in, our expectations were clear," says AngMar Founder and CEO Mark Eddins. "We challenged him to streamline and elevate our existing operations, and to identify strategic growth opportunities. He has more than exceeded that challenge and we are well down the road to doubling what we currently offer in retail and entertainment."

Geyerman's operational background is a testament to his effective leadership, with executive and management roles in such restaurant and retail heavy-hitters as Schlotzsky's, Wal-Mart and the H-E-B grocery chain. Geyerman emphasizes energy and integrity in his team, with an emphasis on growing passionate leaders.

"It was the caliber of the team already in place that allowed us to enjoy so much success so quickly," Geyerman says. "It was a simple matter of tapping into the talent and work ethic on staff and teaching them effective service approaches while cultivating their unique strengths."

Fat Daddy's Sports & Spirits – a restaurant and live music venue

Marksmen Firearms – a shooting sports and firearms retail store, providing Texas CHL classes

Southern Oaks Golf Club – an 18-hole championship golf course, club & grille, and pro-shop

The Oaks Event Center – a 5,000-square-foot wedding and events venue, opened in July 2016

Autoworx – a diesel and automotive service shop

House of Hotrods – a complete auto restoration shop specializing in classic cars

In May 2016, Geyerman hired Chef Carlos Rodriguez as Food and Beverage Director for all of AngMar's food service options. Currently, the company is concepting and constructing the following new projects:

Marksmen Firearms Killeen - a Central Texas Marksmen retail store and gunsmithing shop opening October 1st, 2016

Marksmen Firearms expansion - an expansion of the Mansfield location to double the retail space and include 20 state-of-the-art indoor firing lanes along with a member lounge and classroom space, projected to open Fall 2017

Marksmen Firearms Benbrook - the third Marksmen and second in North Texas, projected to open Spring 2017

Fat Daddy's North - a North Fort Worth Fat Daddy's at I-35 W and Western Center Blvd with a projected opening day in May 2017

Southern Oaks Tennis - the addition of 12 tennis courts and an expanded pro shop at Southern Oaks golf club scheduled for opening in May 2017

Smokey MAE's Pit BBQ - a pit BBQ restaurant and bar featuring a menu created by Chef Carlos, featuring distinct sauce flavors from many regions of the country, under construction for a May 2017 opening
