Follow on Google News | Florida Career College Association Commemorates 60 Years of Student Success, Inducts Hall of FameThe diamond anniversary and theme of "Learning is Forever" will take center stage at the FAPSC annual conference Aug. 3-5 at the Omni ChampionsGate Resort just outside of Orlando. Among the highlights will be the induction of the first FAPSC Hall of Fame recipients during a dinner Aug. 4. The 10 honorees from around the state will be: D. John Benanti, Robert Alan (Bob) Gosdeck, Donald C. Jones, Jack H. Jones, Dr. Arthur Keiser, Lipton McKenzie, Dr. Joseph S. Pace, James M. Patch, Sharon Rhoads and Mark K. Wheeler, Jr. Each of these members of the elite group were selected for their long-standing commitment to providing leadership, support and advocacy for quality career education "FAPSC has been fortunate to have these leaders and so many others around the state contribute to student successes throughout the years," said Curtis Austin, executive director of FAPSC. "Education has evolved since we began six decades ago, but we remain steadfast in our commitment to students, which always has been and will remain the focus of our sector." The association of more than 250 members works on behalf of the more 1,000 licensed private career schools and colleges in Florida that prepare students each year for employment in more than 200 occupational fields by offering degree programs, certification and training.
