PHILADELPHIA - Aug. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Women define career success in a wide variety of ways. But whatever a woman's personal definition, if she is in a traditionally male-dominated career—virtually all high status, highly compensated fields—her career is at risk because of pervasive gender stereotypes.

In this Soundview Live webinar, Communication Techniques for Women in the Workplace,

Andrea S. Kramer and Alton B. Harris present unique, practical, and effective advice about how women can at last break through gender bias in the workplace and win at the career advancement game.

You Will Learn:

•          About the need to be attuned to the negative gender stereotypes that surround women.

•          An integrated set of communication techniques that women can use to avoid the   discriminatory consequences of stereotypes.

•          To understand that women don't need to change who they are to succeed in their chosen careers.

About the Speakers:

Andrea S. Kramer
is a partner in the international law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. Andie is head of the firm's Financial Products, Trading and Derivatives Group, and is the founding chair of the firm's Gender Diversity Committee and currently serves as its co-chair. She has served on both her firm's Management Committee and Compensation Committee. In these roles, she became deeply concerned about the disparities in the pace and extent of women's and men's career achievements. Andie's extensive research, astute observations, and pragmatic voice have made her a nationally recognized advocate for women's advancement and an authority on gender communication.

Alton B. Harris was a founding partner of the Chicago law firm Ungaretti & Harris, which merged into national law firm Nixon Peabody LLP. There he served as managing partner and member of the Executive and Compensation Committee. Over the course of his career, Al has grown increasingly concerned about the barriers and biases women face in traditionally male career environments. Because of this concern, Al has mentored and advised women in many career fields. His focus is always on the communication skills they need to advance in their chosen fields, despite the prevalence of negative gender stereotypes.
