Fundraising benefit concert for a small business owner

MINNEAPOLIS - July 25, 2016 - PRLog -- AX FITNESS BENEFIT CONCERT

Please join us for a night of incredible music with the Well-Known Strangers, Umbrella Bed, Sonder, and Karen Folman, as well as special guest appearances by Minnesota RollerGirls, raffles and much more! This concert benefits a small business owner who struggles with MS to help fund her business, pay off some business loans, and grow into a bigger space.She is a member of the LGBTQ community and an Army veteran.

This concert is on August 26^th at the Cabooze in Minneapolis. Doors open at 7:30.

Headline band:

Well Known Strangers: Milwaukee's Summerfest second place winner, with established fan base in the Chicago area.

Local Bands:

Umbrella Bed: 8-piece alternative band with guitar, horns and percussion that provide a fun, unique sound.

Sonder: Upbeat classic rock band with killer guitar skills and a great lead vocalist.

Karen Folman: Talented solo singer/songwriter with acoustic guitar that makes for beautiful music.

Why we are doing this as told by Jessica Johnson, a loyal member since September 2014:

"Christine Jaques and is the owner of AX Fitness in Northeast Minneapolis. Christine is an amazing athletic trainer who is incredibly inspiring to others because of the fact that she lives with MS and struggles with it every day, yet still manages to wow all of us with her physical abilities. Shortly after her diagnosis, Christine's life took some major turns. She was out of work for many years, lost her home and pretty much anything she owned. She had hit rock bottom in nearly every area of her life. Christine worked three-part time jobs, when she went back to school to be certified in Fitness. AX Fitness has become Christine's comeback story. She not only created an outstanding program but a loyal and dedicated community. Watching her persevere is a strong driver to those of us that sometimes struggle to find motivation to maintain a healthy lifestyle, or to find a way to push ourselves to our fullest abilities. We don't know what we would do without her, and we want to help her maintain and hopefully grow her business!"
