The author Bharath has woven an intricate fiction around the lives of Suhas and Havisha. Suhas, who is fondly known as Sunny, comes across Havisha on a vacation in Manali in a park, where her charm makes him click photographs of her. When Havisha leaves from the park, she accidentally leaves her necklace behind. The 28-year-old business analyst picks up the necklace and leaves a note to the guard stating his alternate email address in the name Sunny. In the subsequent exchange of emails between them, Havisha sends her address details and requests Sunny to post her necklace.
Meanwhile, Suhas and his family go to Shimla, where Havisha stays. They take accommodation at the guest house owned by Krishnakant, a friend of Suhas's father's cousin. He later learns that Krishnakant and Havisha's father are close friends. The catch here is that Havisha least knows that Sunny and Suhas are the names of the same individual. In interesting turn of events, Suhas bonds well with Havisha, and realizes that she has a disorder known as Xeroderma Pigmentosum, wherein exposure to even the slightest amount of UV radiation can bring about implications in the human body. As he gets closer, he learns how she grew up coping up with the disorder. He soon falls for her and decides to propose to her. But talking to Havisha, he learns her idea about marriage and motherhood. Stepping back from his decision, he leaves a letter with Havisha's parents and departs from Shimla without returning her necklace and revealing that he is Sunny.
Various episodes unfold in the lives of both, taking readers on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Does Havisha actually love Suhas? Will she read the letter?
