ATLANTA - July 17, 2016 - PRLog -- In response to recent tragedies that have taken place and in particular the police shootings happening as a result of racial tensions, leaders in various aspects of Atlanta's "Black Lives Matter" community will host a "Unity Rally" urging a ceasefire at the Liberty Plaza of the Georgia State Capitol on Monday, July 18th from 10am - Noon.

The rally is led by Activist & Author, Latisha Robb, who is also the founder of "The Raw Onion, an organization that serves as an open forum designed to peel back the layers of concerns of minorities, particularly in the African American community.

The Unity Rally will have presentations from:

• Mable Thomas (D), Georgia House of Representatives
• John F. Johnson, Independent Presidential Nominee 2016
• Attorney, Christine White, President, Influencer Coalition
• Jay Jackson, CEO/Publisher, RYSE Multimedia

Robb also led successful protests against the now closed Ben Hill Cleaners, where the owner was racist against his majority customers. She sees that a movement of different groups fighting for the same cause, "Black Lives", can only go so far without clear messaging and objectives.

She organized the "Unity Rally" as the answer for police, political leaders and protesters as a strategic arm of the national movement of Black Lives Matters. "It's important that as a people - a nation - we create a real plan to make progress. I see a need for direction and initiatives as the common theme amongst all protestors," shares Robb. She reached out to individual leaders in positions of power and influence to help develop a national Manifesto that can be repeated in cities across the nation. Latisha explains, "Senseless violence against police officers is not the answer. That will only agitate an already tense situation that will lead to more loss of life. We must end this now!"

She's received the support of organizations such as the Influencer Coalition, which was instrumental in over 8,000 new bank applications for Atlanta-based Citizens Trust Bank last week.

Media requests for interviews or requests for the "Manifesto" should be directed to Tamika Morrison of T. Morrison Agency.
