AUSTIN, Texas - July 14, 2016 - PRLog -- Collaborative Retail Housing between newcomer "Jack & Lola" and established "Fortress of Inca"

Looking for a place to house her carefully curated collection of small batch goods, Gaby O'Hearn began her search in Austin. During her search of the retail real estate market across the city, Gaby met Evan - founder of Fortress of Inca. With Fortress of Inca looking for a new office and Gaby needing a retail space, the two joined forces. Together they were able to find a space in South Austin that they transformed into the flagship of both Fortress of Inca and Jack & Lola. The two businesses have offered their full-fledged support and respect for one another.

The hunt for the perfect space was not easy. The current location of 503 W. Mary St., in its beginning state, was not ideal. It was torn up and aesthetically unappealing. However, the location couldn't be beat. With Gaby's vision and background in interior design, and plenty of sweat equity, the space was transformed into a cool and creative locale. The shop now bears the names of both "Jack & Lola" and "Fortress of Inca."

Jack & Lola celebrates their fourth month since opening in March. Through the partnership with Fortress of Inca, a symbiotic relationship has flourished. The relationship goes further than just being retail roommates as Fortress of Inca, a veteran brand in the industry, has offered their support and insights to Jack & Lola. The relationship between the two is not competitive but in fact cooperative. As an experienced business owner, Evan has been able to give Gaby guidance on gaining press, marketing and customer relations. As Jack & Lola continues to build their momentum and their consumer base, Fortress of Inca has offered their unending support.

The two brands share more than just a space but a mutual consideration for one another. The space has been divided to allow customers to easily flow from one brand to another and Gaby and Evan each lend a hand to the other tending to customers, with Gaby taking evening and weekend shifts and Evan taking weekday business hours.

Jack & Lola was a small dream turned into reality with the hard work and vision of Gaby O'Hearn. Inspired and named after two of her greatest influences, her grandparents, Jack & Lola was born. It wasn't easy; Gaby was new to Austin, didn't have the resource of copious contacts and was a first time entrepreneur.  It was her courage, determination and spirit that allowed Gaby to follow her dreams even when it seemed impossible. With her creativity and vision she was able to transform a lackluster space to be welcoming, warm, adventurous and elegant. Jack & Lola, now up and running, offers their customers one of kind handmade pieces by a multitude of artists locally and nationally to add to their homes, closets and lifestyle.
