About the Author: David Higgins based the first book in this trilogy on his time working for the UK's Ministry of Defence. "I had a story to tell, so decided to mix this in with some science fiction." The author grew up in London and has lived in Germany, Saudi Arabia, Bosnia, Switzerland, France, and now resides in Texas. He is pictured with his step-granddaughter, Julie, to whom he dedicates this book.
