AURORA, Colo. - June 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Summer is the time for family, fun and sun with the kids out of school, warm days and lots of activities to fill evenings, weekends and family vacations.  Music in the park, concerts and festivals are a great way to spend time with family and friends during the warm months of the year.  Jordan Copas, Christian Wrapper and Musician, has been doing amazing things in music, and we had the unique opportunity to catch up with him for a quick chat about what he's been up to!

Jordan, you have a packed schedule for 2016.  Any event you're especially excited to perform this summer?

Yes, there has been a lot of highs this year including many events not originally posted on my website.  There's a lot of great stuff happening!  One of the biggest events is the Sonshine Festival in Somerset, Wisconsin July 21st - 23rd.  That's going to be huge!!!  Also, a lot of other festivals have opened up for me.  If I do well at the Sonshine Festival, and get selected by the audience as one of the top candidates, they will place me in all the major Christian festivals for 2017.  So please pray for more of God's grace and favor over my life as I'm out doing this.  This year a lot of new doors have opened when it comes to performing.  I have made great relationships in the past, but a lot of new ones are happening as well.  I'm very grateful for how gracious God has been to me, giving me this gift of music that I never thought I had.  See http://www.sonshinefestival.com for details.

What's your favorite way to unwind between shows?

Some of my favorite ways to unwind in between shows are spending time with my family.  I just got married and we have a baby girl on the way.  We are naming her Eden Amaryllis Copas. This year I am teaching our 12 year old daughter how to play baseball.  She wanted to learn one sport this summer and that was her choice.  Family is everything to me because I know what it's like not to have a family.

Congratulations, Jordan!  And your new album titled "Copacetic" is in retail this summer.  What's your message in this album?

"Copacetic" is a compilation project of several of my old songs from different projects combined into one.  I believe the term Copacetic means it's all good and it's going to be alright.  But I want to put a twist on this statement.  It's not going to be all good because of one's circumstance and situation; actually life is going to be hard!  We are going to go through hardships and trials of many kinds!  But when you give your life to Jesus and you are going through all of this, you can still have peace (fruits of the Spirit.) and joy of the LORD!  In the long run if we keep our faith and truly trust in Jesus to the extent where we can lay our head down at night and get a good night's rest without worrying so much about what's going on, it's going to be all good.  Not because of the here and now though.  It's because of how good God is!  He has an eternal perspective that He wants to give us.  Not to live for the here and now, but for eternity.  It is my honor to know this message through living out many hardships from birth till now and having a personal relationship with Him.  I hope and pray this project blesses many people.

Your fans really like your support for Project AK-47 to rescue child soldiers.  Any updates to share?

I love what Project AK-47 stands for and how they help these children out.  It's a legit mission out in these countries, and I can be that mouthpiece and get sponsors for these kids.  A lot of great stuff is happening and I'm honored to be doing what I am doing with that organization!  I even did a theme song for them called "Kid Not A Killa."

Jordan, thanks for chatting with me. We love hearing how God has blessed you, your family and your music!

You can hear "Kid Not a Killa" (feat. Benjah) on Jordan's new album "Copacetic" coming to retail this summer, or you can download it on Jordan's website for just .99 cents.  Check out more at JordanCopas.com and watch the AK-47 Mission Video on his home page.
