LONDON - June 21, 2016 - PRLog -- Undergraduate and postgraduate students, interns, apprentices and early-career HR and recruitment professionals, are invited to submit an 'inspired idea for improving the workplace' for a chance to win €4,000 plus coaching and marketing support to turn their idea into reality.

The Theta Award is a biennial competition organised by the international assessment company cut-e. Established in 2013, it is the only global award that aims to inspire, recognise and reward innovative ideas for new products or processes that will improve HR and recruitment practice or enhance career development.

"The ideas can relate to any aspect of employment or life at work such as job design, candidate attraction, employee selection, onboarding, development, talent management, collaboration, cultural-fit or retention," said Dr Achim Preuss, Managing Director of cut-e. "Your idea could be a thesis, research paper, real life or pilot project, a prototype or simply a description of a new product or process. We're looking for a 900-word outline of an innovative, practical and beneficial idea; it doesn't have to be a finished product. If you can think of something new or a new application of current practice that will improve life in the workplace then please enter this award. We'll coach and support the winner to help them bring their idea to fruition."

The closing date for award entries is 31 December. The judging will then take place through 'crowd voting' via social media. The award winner will be invited to collect their €4,000 prize in Hamburg, Germany, on 23 March 2017. They will also get the chance to present their idea to 150 global HR professionals.

The first winner of the Theta Award, in 2013, was a mobile learning app that enabled individuals to document and analyse their informal learning, when and where it happened, for their own and their employer's benefit. The 2015 winner submitted a new way of assessing the essential competencies and job knowledge of nurses and caregivers, to help recruit high quality staff and to signpost areas for development.

If you'd like some advice about whether your idea is suitable for the 2017 Theta Award, please email info@cut-e.com and cut-e's research directorDr Katharina Lochner will provide feedback and tips on your submission.
