Jacksonville Cannons Ready to Explode!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - June 16, 2016 - PRLog -- The Cannons (4-6) take their first home loss this season in stride, with a tough 27-21 loss to Dallas Roughnecks (11-0). Even with our newest addition Cole Friedes stepping up with aggressive layouts and fierce play, Dallas was able to keep their perfect record in tact.

The Cannons look to make a 4 game run, and secure the 3rd and Final Playoff Spot in the AUDL South.  We take on Charlotte Express (3-8) this Saturday at the Bolles School at 7pm. While the Cannons fell to the Express (27-23) in their last match up, we are more than ready to even the score.

Mischa Freystaetter is blowing up the score boards, hoping to surpass the AUDL all time season high scoring record. He currently has 66 goals this season and the 2015 season high was 69 goals. The all time season high is 92 (happened back in 2013). He needs 6.75 goals per game in our next four games to break the record. Stay tuned as history is made!

After Charlotte, the Cannons welcome Austin Sol to The Bolles School for our final home game of the 2016 regular season. Cannons close out the season on the road in Nashville and Atlanta. Each game is a must win, and the Cannons are amped and up for the challenge!

We can't do it without our fans though, so bring out your BOOM sticks, shirts, hats and swag! Load up your family and friends to enjoy the electrifying nonstop action, grub on some Hash House, toss some discs and watch the Cannons Go BOOM!

The Jacksonville Cannons is the cities' first Professional Ultimate Frisbee team.  The team was founded in 2015, becoming a member of the American Ultimate Disc League.  The sport combines the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer, with the aerial passing skills of football.  The crowd is kept on their toes with constant action, displaying high caliber talent with every toss and turn, one highlight play after another.
