Cindy and Sarah have been friends for 25 years, their lives intertwined as single girls in the '90s, both living on Delaware in Chicago, and now living on the North Shore. Both are married and each one has a daughter: Lily, 8 and Jaya, 12.

Sarah, a two-time James Beard Award recipient, and Cindy, a marketer turned baker, are working together for one special night.

Following a delicious dinner, the cake buffet will feature

• Double Chocolate Cake with a whipped cream mascarpone buttercream
• Carrot Cake with a buttermilk caramel glaze and cream cheese buttercream
• Chocolate Cake with a caramel sauce
• Hummingbird Cake
• Sticky Toffee Cake
