Lee Enterprises Consulting Promotes Two to Management Team

SHERWOOD, Ark. - May 30, 2016 - PRLog -- Lee Enterprises Consulting, the world's largest bioenergy and biofuels consulting group, is pleased to announce the promotions of Dr. Gerald Kutney to Executive Vice President, and Dr. Kapil Lokare to Director of European Operations.  The consulting group has over 75 experts in its biodiesel, ethanol, emerging technologies, biomass power, and business & finance sections.

Kutney has a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Toronto and over 15 years of executive management experience with global corporations in technology development and commercialization, biomass economics and procurement, biorefining, bioenergy, and bioproducts. He is a founding member of the Canadian Biochar Initiative and was an Adjunct Professor and Instructor in the Environmental Science Program at the University of Northern British Columbia.  He led the biorefining business of a major forest products company, which included the largest cellulosic ethanol business in North America, a biomass-to-energy CHP facility and an international bioproducts business. Kutney is a published author whose work has resulted in new technological processes, patented inventions and scientific publications.

Lokare received his Ph.D. in chemistry from Michigan State University (USA). He has held positions at various globally recognized institutions in the USA, Netherlands, Australia, and Germany. He has published scientific papers, book chapters and patents on topics ranging from olefin metathesis, C-H activation and functionalization of hydrocarbons (GtL), biomass valorization (bio-ethanol and lignin valorization) and written extensively on matters such as methane-to-methanol conversion, butanol biosynthesis, conversion of ethanol to higher hydrocarbons/higher value products, and selective deconstruction of biomass.  He holds a patent for the alkylation of phenolic compounds.   Dr. Lokare has helped launch new bio-based startups and currently resides in Berlin, Germany.
