DUBAI, UAE - May 22, 2016 - PRLog -- Final game marks only loss for youth football team in high-profile international tournament

Dubai, UAE - May 19, 2016:  UAEPrecor FC, Dubai's top community youth football club, scored an exciting second-place win at the latest installment of the Dubai International Super Cup: the club's under-18 team conceded its first and only defeat in the tournament to a professional South African football club during the final match. The team secured an impressive fifteen goals, while conceding only two goals, during the tournament's four-day run.

Commenting on the club's second-place win, Tarek Khalifa, chairman and member of Precor FC's coaching team, said: "The Dubai International Super Cup draws in the participation of talented players from around the world - placing second in this international, high-profile tournament marks a big win for the under-18 team and for the club as a whole."

In fact, Precor FC's under-18 team was the only team to clock no losses in the lead up to the final game, beating out Adastra, Emirates Isles, Etihad Sports Academy, Muscat Academy and Nigeria Buruj Academy, to play a competitive final against Pillars FC from South Africa. Incidentally, the under-18 team's goalkeeper was severely injured during the second-to-last match of the tournament, but continued to play, helping the team secure its place in the final.

"We had an ambulance waiting in the wings for him through most of the game, and had to administer oxygen on three separate occasions. But he was intent on finishing the game, and in spite of playing with an injury for upwards of eighty-five minutes, he helped the team make it to the final. We couldn't have made it without this act of resilience and dedication," commented Khalifa.

Precor FC is now gearing up for the upcoming GOTHIA cup, a Sweden-based international youth football tournament which each year draws over 1600 teams from over 80 nations. Kick-started as a community athletic initiative, today Precor FC comprises multiple youth teams that compete in tournaments and leagues within the UAE and around the world. The teams - under-14, under-16, under-18 and under-21 - represent players from 30 different countries, and are coached by a highly certified FIFA and UK FA British coaching team.
