Georgia's Lanier Islands Teams Up with Rock 100 to Host Massive Memorial Day Weekend Celebration

BUFORD, Ga. - May 20, 2016 - PRLog -- As the unofficial start to the summer season, Memorial Day Weekend means different things to different people. In addition to LanierWorld's signature brand of fun in the form of waterfront eateries and watering holes, more than a dozen water slides and attractions, half mile stretch of white sandy beach, miniature golf course and zipline over the lake, the Islands and Rock 100 will showcase a variety of regional bands on the Sunset Cove stage throughout the weekend.  Guests can also partake of LanierWorld's two newest additions: Battleball on the beach - a fun new game where participants don't merely get to play ball, the get a rare opportunity to BE the ball; and the Spectacular Screen - high definition digital awesomeness that's five stories high and more than a quarter of a football field wide paired with one sweet sound system to showcase music videos, cartoon shorts and feature films for the entertainment of LanierWorld guests throughout the holiday weekend. During the day, kids can enjoy Bucky's Beach Adventures with LanierWorld's favorite mascot, while evening festivities during Memorial Day Weekend will include face painting, live music, cool street performers and more. On Sunday, Sunset Cove will feature an all-day volleyball tournament on the beach.
