Follow on Google News | Quickbooks Online March 2016 Update: Inventory Adjustment FeatureBy: sleeter Issues with Inventory Adjustment before this update release ------------------------------------------------------------ Previously, to update an item in inventory, you have to go to the "Edit" link in the Product and Services list and had to click on "Update" button. After this, you had to fill in the field which said 'New quantity on hand' and 'Difference'. This whole process was very tardy and inconvenient because if you wanted to add a transaction then every time you had to edit the items first. Along with it, you were only able to update one item at a time which made it a time-taking job. The new thing in Inventory Adjustment feature ------------------------------------------------------------ With the release of March 2016 update, now you can access 'Inventory Quantity Adjustment' at different points. These are- 1. In Product and Services list- In the 'Product and Services' list just select the items for which you want to adjust the quantity, then click on "Batch action" and then click "Adjust quantity" from the drop down box. 2. Again in the Product and Services list- In the 'Product and Services' list just select the item for which you want to adjust the quantity, then click on "Edit" under the "Action" menu and click on "Adjust Quantity" in the drop down box. You can also adjust the 'Inventory Starting Value' by clicking on "Adjust Starting Value" in the drop down box. 3. In the Create window- You can also adjust the quantity of items from the Create window. You just have to click on the "Plus (+) Sign" menu or you can say on the "Create" menu then in the Create window choose and click on "Inventory Quantity Adjustment" which is under the "Other" column. Apart from all these new & different access points, now the 'Inventory Quantity Adjustment' is shown in a separate window unlike previously, where you were only able to see a Dialogue box with few fields in the "Edit Item" menu. Also, now you can adjust multiple items in a single transaction very easily making it time efficient.
