LONDON - April 27, 2016 - PRLog -- LONDON, UK.3rd December 2015: Visiongain's new 258 page report the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Carrier Market Report 2016-2026: CAPEX Forecasts by Containment System & Constructor Country, Global Fleet & Order Book Analysis, and Shipbuilder & Operator Company Profiles indicates that capital expenditure (CAPEX) on LNG carriers will total $7.693bn in 2016.

LNG carriers operate on transport routes around the world connecting the LNG supply chain. The main exporting regions of LNG are North America, Africa, Qatar, Australia and Russia, while the main importers are in South-East Asia (Japan, South Korea, China and India). Large-scale LNG carriers are currently constructed in three national markets using one of the four containment systems available. South Korea, Japan and China are the countries with shipyards currently producing large-scale LNG vessels, and visiongain's report also looks into the possibility of LNG carrier building in India.

LNG is carried aboard vessels using four main containment systems that insulate the LNG. The oldest LNG carrying technology is the Moss-Rosenberg (commonly known as Moss) containment system. The second type, SPB design, makes a comeback in the order book after a long hiatus with two vessels scheduled for delivery in 2017. The third containment system is the membrane type GTT No.96. Last but not least is the T-Mark family that includes Mark III and its upgrade Mark III Flex.

The lead analyst of the report commented that, 'the addition of substantial liquefaction capacity in Australia and North America over the next five years will drive spending on LNG carriers to transports these supplies, while the market will be further boosted by the need for increased flexibility in the LNG fleet, more long-haul LNG voyages and a growing spot market."

The report contains 143 tables, charts and graphs that add visual analysis in order to explain developing trends within the LNG carrier market. Visiongain provides forecasts (2016-2026) in terms of capital expenditure (US$) for the global market, for four national constructor markets (South Korea, Japan, China and India), four containment systems (Moss, Mark III & Mark Flex, SPB, No. 96 and Moss), as well as for the small scale carrier market. Profiles (including market share analysis) are provided for the 7 leading LNG carrier shipbuilders and 8 leading LNG carrier operators, while tables detailing all existing and upcoming LNG carriers are also included. In addition, the report includes an exclusive interview from Goran Hermansson, General Manager LNG of Stena Bulk, who provides expert insight alongside visiongain's forecasts and analysis.

The Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Carrier Market 2016-2026report will be of value to anyone who wants to better understand the industry and its dynamics. It will be useful for businesses already involved in the LNG carrier market, or for those wishing to enter this growing market in the future.
