Georgia's LanierWorld Gets Ready to Debut its Own Summer Blockbuster

BUFORD, Ga. - April 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Having celebrated a wildly successful "soft opening" of its boldest and brightest attraction during the snow-themed Winter Adventure at LanierWorld, Georgia lakeside resort - Lanier Islands - is excited to dazzle summertime guests of its beach, boardwalk and waterpark entertainment district beginning May 21. For those who did not get a sneak peek of this newest star to hit the boardwalk during the holidays and winter months, they will undoubtedly be awestruck to see 50' x 80' of high definition digital awesomeness at center stage inside the park. From its perch high above Big Beach, the all NEW Spectacular Screen will regularly show music videos, cartoon shorts and full-length feature films throughout the summer. Patrons of LanierWorld can boat up to the docks or gather on the sand in this lakeside homage to the drive-in theaters of yesteryear.

"To give you some perspective as to its size, the typical drive-in movie screen was just 65'x33'," explained Cindy Wahl, Director of Marketing for Lanier Islands. "Based on the response we've received to date, we have no doubt that this latest addition to our landscape will be a big hit with guests. The state-of-the-art ultrabright outdoor theater screen is highly visible on even the sunniest days, and really lights up the night as families wind down on the beach following a day spent running around the park. They can pick up a pizza from Gianni's-To-Go and sit in a cluster of lounge chairs while taking in a show for an entirely fun, new family tradition. The Spectacular Screen will take our Dive In Movies - which used to be shown on a much smaller screen near the wave pool - to an entirely new level."

Wahl pointed to last year's debuts of the CAT 4 Tube Slide and Thunderbolt Triple Zipline as the perfect complement to the 2016 introduction of the Spectacular Screen. In addition to the Spectacular Screen, guests can look forward to a wild and completely novel experience on the beach at Sunset Cove with the introduction of Battle Ball* - where participants are invited to not only PLAY ball, but to BE the ball as they don one of 16 inflatable life-size sphere and attempt to run, bounce and roll their way to victory. Of course, LanierWorld fans can still expect to find all of their favorite attractions and waterslides, including WildWaves wave pool, The Wibit Aquatic Obstacle Course, Lakeside Links Miniature Golf, Raging River, Double Down, Blackout, Typhoon, Twister, Intimidator, Triple Threat, FunDunker and more.
