BALTIMORE - April 26, 2016 - PRLog -- Bay Country Painters, a commercial and residential painting company, is pleased to announce that their first Paint-It-Forward charity event was a big success. The company gave away a $3,500 paint job to the Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County.

Last fall, Bay Country Painters started taking nominations from people across the local region for families or non-profit organizations that were in need of paint jobs but lacked the funds to get it done. After receiving numerous nominations, the staff got together in late December to vote on who they felt was most deserving. They said this was the most difficult part of the task! The Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County was selected as the recipients for the charity paint event.

The Boys and Girls Club provides a safe haven for kids and teenagers primarily in the Bywater Community to relax and learn skills that will help them grow into responsible adults and citizens. Bay Country Painters was proud to have a part in helping the organization with their mission by providing them with various repairs and a fresh coat of paint in their clubhouse.

The painting crew from Bay Country Painters got together on March 12 to complete the project. They painted the walls in the facility to provide an updated look. The fresh coat of paint provides the organization with a clean look that is welcoming to newcomers and regulars alike.

Bay Country Painters would like to thank several people for their help and support of the project. They want to thank Sherwin Williams for generously providing all the paint needed for the project. Daniel John of Regal Paints Annapolis and Mark Coale of Maryland Paint and Decorating provided various sundries (paint brushes, sand paper, etc.). The West Street Dunkin' Donuts supplied coffee and donuts to get the crew started in the morning. Then Eddie Conway of Gary's Grill provided a delicious lunch for the crew. Bay Country Painters is grateful to everyone who took part in the event.

Paint-It-Forward is an annual event held by reputable paint companies across the nation. It was started 10 years ago by A. Allbright Painting in Los Angeles, California. Mike McGurk, owner of Bay Country Painters, and his staff of highly skilled painting craftsmen were delighted to join the movement and bring it to Maryland.

Bay Country Painters felt it was an honor and pleasure to give back to their community in this way, and they plan to make this an annual event. With that said, they will begin taking nominations for next year's Paint-It-Forward event in September. If anyone knows of an organization or family in need of a pint job in the area, they should be sure to turn in a nomination.

Bay Country Painters has a team of professional painting contractors who specialize in commercial and residential jobs. They provide interior and exterior painting services, along with waterproofing, power washing, drywall repair and more. They service cities throughout eastern Maryland, including Baltimore and Annapolis.
