RICHMOND, Va. - April 20, 2016 - PRLog -- Long known for its vibrant advertising community, Richmond has scored another feather in its cap.  Initiate-it, a thriving integrated communications agency headed by Andrew Smith, has hired Quincy Cherry as vice president, creative services.

Quincy comes to initiate-it from Uniworld Group in Brooklyn, NY where he served as senior vice president, chief creative officer. There he was responsible for leading the creative and innovation vision, and the collaboration of 16 multi-disciplined teams in three different cities (New York/Detroit/Atlanta). He developed Digital First content for Ford/Lincoln, U.S. Marines, Marriott, Colgate, Amtrak, CVS and Home Depot.  Quincy has also been selected as a CCO panelist on the Creative Carousel during Advertising Week in New York for the third consecutive year.

Before UniWorld Group, Quincy served at Matlock Advertising in Atlanta as senior vice president, chief creative officer where he managed a small team of hungry innovators developing big ideas on BMW, Mini- Cooper, Publix Supermarkets, Nationwide Insurance and Georgia-Pacific. Quincy was featured in One Show's magazine as the next creative leader to watch. During this time, he also served as an adjunct professor at Clark University in Atlanta teaching graphic design.

Quincy also served at Burrell Communications in Chicago as creative director where he managed the mid and junior level creatives on McDonald's, Coca-Cola brands (Sprite, Classic, Fruitopia, and Fanta) and led the IT discipline for the creative department.

Quincy is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta where he received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Advertising Design and attended the Parsons School of Design in New York.
