Admission 2016 Opens at UTM for Undergraduate Courses
Admission for the 2016 batch has opened at the University of Technology and Management, Shillong for a number of undergraduate courses taught here. Many programmes have been designed keeping in demand the need to choose trend over traditional.
Guest lectures from experts inside classrooms and semester system with programme-wise grading form a part of the contemporary curriculum. The courses are run in academic collaboration with the Russian New University as a part of a student-faculty exchange programme. A special highlight at the university is the B. Tech. Computer Science with cloud computing and virtualisation technology course offered in academic partnership with IBM.
Different Schools of Teaching
It covers B. Tech. Computer Science and Engineering programme under three specializations of Cloud Computing and Virtualization Technology, Cyber Security and Forensics as well as Oil and Gas Informatics. These disciplines come under the School of Technology at UTM. There is a School of Travel and Leisure that offers a special BBA course in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism. The School of Management is getting popular owing to its high-in-demand BBA programme in Digital Marketing.
