Lights Shine Again on Pheasant Run's Mainstage Theater With Vero Voce

ST. CHARLES, Ill. - April 11, 2016 - PRLog -- Vero Voce Theater and School of Performing Arts will raise the curtains on Pheasant Run Resort's Theater for three months, presenting shows and events between April and June according to John Martin, Pheasant Run's general manager.

"We are happy to work with Vero Voce and appreciate the immense amount of talent and energy these performers will bring to both St. Charles and our theater," says Martin.

The productions will include two performances from their Young Performers Series and at least one by their mainstage actors.

"Due to the success we've experienced over the past four years, we are excited to expand the theater into a larger space.  We wrap up our 2015-2016 season with these three productions and a number of additional events in the planning stage including a Murder Mystery, guest artists, a lunch-and-theater event and more," says Dawn Brown, who co-owns Vero Voce with her husband, Dennis.

The following shows are scheduled on the Pheasant Run stage:

The Outsiders( April 15-April 24) is anentirely practical stage adaptation and deals with real people, seen through the eyes of young Ponyboy, a Greaser on the wrong side of life, caught up in territorial battles between the have-it-made rich kids.

Disney's Mulan JR. (May 13-May 22) is based on Disney's Oscar-nominated film, Disney's Mulan JR. and a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor and the fighting spirit. With hit songs and a story packed with action, humor and heart, Disney's Mulan JR. brings ancient China to life with a modern sensibility.

Next To Normal (May 27-June 12) will be performed by the Vero Voce Theater. Winner of three 2009 TONY Awards including Best Musical Score and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize, Next To Normal takes audiences into the minds and hearts of each character, presenting their family's story with love, sympathy, and heart.
