Follow on Google News | TechCrush Organizes In Chicago To Promote Diversity In StartupsBy: MADE Magazine An Instagram competition has been launched to promote the event. Users have been asked to vote on their "Tech Crush" by following @MADEMagazineUS, reviewing participants in initiative-branded photos, and liking the photo of their #TechCrush. The winner will receive a donation to the tech charity of their choice. A full lineup has also been developed for TechCrush Chicago. At 1:30pm, Jeff Beckham, of Black Box Creative, and Christina Marshall-Valdez, of Elu, will host branding and business presentations. During the presentations, new gadgets and services will be unveiled. Then, at 2:00pm Boyede Sobitan is bringing the team from his African and Caribbean grocery company, Oja Express, to join a live cooking demonstration. The programmatic focus of the event will close with an elevator pitch competition at 2:30pm that will be moderated by Stella Ashaolu, of WeSolve. The winner will receive a monetary prize. At the close of the program, a celebratory party will kick off. The third annual FAME Events "Digital Day Party" will start at 3:00pm, and also take place at Mercer. The party will be hosted by TechCrush Founder Kris Williams, of MADE Magazine, and Jason Williams Johnson, of Konveau. Konveau, an event experience app, will be central to making the party meaningful and memorable. Through the app, party goers will have access to other guests' personality descriptions, compatibility details, and background information such as hometown and profession.
