TYLER, Texas - April 5, 2016 - PRLog -- and RPAL Rescue Center & Pet Food Bank in Terrell, Texas are teaming up to give away over 500,000 cans of super-premium dog food to Texas shelters and rescues this Spring. Organizations can order as many cans as they like and only pay shipping and handling.  "We are thrilled to have received an overabundance of canned dog food from a generous manufacturer," says Judy Griggs, Executive Director of RPAL. "Partnering with allows us to reach beyond our current service area and help more dogs in need, especially senior and special-needs dogs"

Launched on the Smart Animal Talk radio show, the 'Cans To The Rescue' campaign includes shelter and media outreach across the state to raise awareness of this offer.  There are three Texas campaign events:

• The Houston Pet Expo will feature Internet Star and Spokes-Dog Preston from
• The Texas Unites For Animals conference in Austin will focus on reaching shelters and rescues.
• The Dallas Pet Expo is the featured event and will include the 1st Annual Adopt-A-Shelter® Dallas Hogs4Pawz™ motorcycle fund-raising rally as well as book-signings with Dusty Rainbolt.

Some shelters and rescues are already taking advantage of this offer.  "I wasn't at work but left instructions and it went without a hitch," says Katie's Roadside Rescue founder Katie B. of San Antonio.  "I wish I had ordered two pallets instead of just one." Tammy L. of Project K-911 in Humble agrees: "As a former business professor, 'Cans To The Rescue' earned an A+ and our unending gratitude - THANK YOU RPAL!"
