LOS ANGELES - April 2, 2016 - PRLog -- According to one survey, more than 80 percent of web design jobs are held by males. The U.S. Department of Commerce has also found that only 27 percent of women hold jobs in computer science. However, meet the two "pretty nerds" who are giving the fellas a run for their money thanks to their expert knowledge in HTML, CSS and web design.

"We are definitely a rare breed.  When we go to website conventions or blog expos, we stand out," stated Krystle Kelley, president of Desert Pop Design and a former runway model. "A lot of people often mistake us for entertainment journalists or just fashion bloggers. We have to prove ourselves constantly, showing that we are serious professional website designers."

With a brain for coding and flare for fashion, the founders of the company met in 2006 while modeling around the greater Palms Springs area.  To date, Krystle and her partner, Terrah Holder, have designed close to 100 websites for many happy customers all over the country.

"We are among only a handful of women in the web design industry," stated Krystle. "There are so many websites out there. Our goal is to help a client's brand stand out from their competition through strategic branding, blogging and, of course, by having an awesome website. We are able to assist with all of that."

Due to the companies own growth and evolution, these two ladies have recently taken the time to revamp the look and feel of their own website, drawing inspiration from the beautiful city of Palms Springs, California and incorporating the area's art and architecture into their own designs.

"We wanted our new site and logo to closely match our individual style. As we continue to expand, we also hope to one day have a business accessory collection so that everyone can feel fabulous working behind the computer," stated Krystle. "We also want to empower more women to come together and work in the web design industry. We are proof that we can do any job that guys can do-and most of the time better."
