PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. - March 15, 2016 - PRLog -- Great Valley Publishing Company, publisher of Today's Dietitian magazine, is announcing the release of the full session schedule for the 2016 Today's Dietitian Spring Symposium.  The event, now in its third year, will be held May 15 -18 at the Buena Vista Palace & Spa in Orlando, Florida.

An intimate and engaging continuing education experience where nutrition professionals can earn up to 20 continuing education credits for re-certification and career development, the full schedule for the 2016 Spring Symposium is now available online at www.todaysdietitian.com/SS16/sessions.html.

"If there's one word to describe this year's Symposium, it's MORE - more attendees, more sessions, and more sponsors!" says VP/COO/Publisher Mara Honicker. "Our 2016 program offers our attendees sessions that cover a range of timely subjects, a group of respected professionals presenting the material, and some great opportunities to network and connect with fellow professionals and our sponsor companies."

The Keynote Speaker for this year's event is Dr. David L. Katz, MD, MPH, FACPM, FACP, FACLM, the internationally known expert on nutrition, weight management and disease prevention, who will speak about the latest research on dietary fats and provide insight that RDNs can use when educating their patients. Dr. Katz's address to all attendees will be at 5:30pm on Sunday, May 15.

The list of session presenters for the 2016 Symposium reads like an all-star team of nutrition experts. Sharon Palmer, RDN, Nutrition Editor of Today's Dietitian and the author of the best-selling book, The Plant-Powered Diet, will be presenting for the third consecutive year with a session on sustainability.

"The Today's Dietitian Spring Symposium is very special because it is a professional conference planned for and by dietitians," Palmer explained. "The speakers are all dietitians who are experts in their given fields, providing valuable, insider information for the dietitian attendees, which they can take back and apply to their own practices and career paths. The sessions are all cutting edge and practical. I am so excited to be a part of this event, and engage with so many dietitians on a personal level. "

Networking opportunities for professionals attending the Spring Symposium include morning fitness sessions and the Book & Product Showcase, where attendees can interact with each other, our presenters and representatives from our 30 sponsor companies, as well as sample products and recipes presented by our sponsors.  Today's Dietitian will also host a Happy Hour for attendees to mix and mingle, as well as organize group dinners for professionals to come together and dine with fellow attendees.

The host hotel for the 2016 Spring Symposium, Hilton's Buena Vista Palace & Spa, is conveniently located within walking distance of all the many dining and entertainment options at Disney Springs.
