STONEHAM, Mass. - March 14, 2016 - PRLog -- Local residents and members of First Parish Congregational Church of Wakefield Jo Lynn Foster, Bonnie Mullen and Doug and Nancy Jackson are involved in the Passion Play. Jo Lynn Foster is co-directing with Angelique Toroni. Foster has been involved with the church since 2004 working on many outreach committees and ministries including the Passion Play, "this is my favorite ministry! It is exactly what Jesus called us to do and I am honored to be a part of such a fun way to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. There's no debate, it's just sharing the story in a very intimate way." Bonnie Mullen is portraying the Women at the Well and has attended First Parish Congregational Church since childhood. She too is involved in many outreach opportunities including the Passion Play, for her the Passion Play "makes me think of Mark 16:15 'Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone,' being in the Passion Play allows me to share this great story in a small way and the opportunity to give back for the many blessings I've received as a member."  Doug and Nancy Jackson have been church members for over twenty years. Doug is portraying Peter and also singing a solo and Nancy is portraying Martha.   The Jackson's are also active members involved with many outreach communities and for them the Passion Play is a chance to bond with fellow members and to reach out and share the love that Christ has for us all, "this year's play is more meaningful than ever for those who attend." This year's new script parallels the Easter story with the story of a mother and daughter dealing with grief. "People are encouraged to come see this year's play because it's a wonderful portrayal of how the struggles in the days of Jesus are very much the same as the struggles we have in this world today," stated Foster.

The performances are free, presented for Wakefield residents and those in its surrounding communities, for those who know the story well or for those who have never heard it.
