DETROIT - March 6, 2016 - PRLog -- It’s impossible to discuss cars today without including connected and autonomous technologies as part of that discussion. The majority of experts indicate that continued evolution of these technologies  is inevitable – and fairly rapid, but what of the challenges to getting there? The convergence of the automotive and technology industries has created never before experienced issues in need of solutions. Add to that the need to consider such realities as infrastructure, federal, state and local laws, staffing (and related training needs), and massive amounts of data management; with these issues and more you start to see a field that may be evolving faster than we’re prepared to handle. Are we ready? If not, how do we get there?

To help us understand the implications of the evolving connected/autonomous vehicle on the automotive industry and all of the industries associated with it, Mobile Monday Detroit has invited two of Michigan’s leading experts in the field to join us on Monday, March 14th at 6:00 p.m. at Walsh College in Troy (Room 199), located at 3838 Livernois Road, Troy, MI.

Joining us as speakers will be:

• Scott McCormick, President, Connected Vehicle Trade Association
• Elaina Farnsworth, CEO, Mobile Comply

The event is free to attend but advance reservations via Meetup ARE REQUIRED in order to attend; make your reservation at http://meetup.com/Mobile-Monday-Detroit. Refreshments will be served courtesy of our host and sponsor, Walsh College. Free parking is available onsite.

Mobile Monday Detroit is sponsored by the Mobile Technology Association of Michigan (http://gomobilemichigan.org/) (MTAM) and Walsh College (http://www.walshcollege.edu/).
