SAN JOSE, Calif. - March 15, 2016 - PRLog -- Center for Spiritual Living, San Jose announced the recent completion of their photo voltaic (PV) solar power installation.  The project, which was fully funded in partnership with the generous support of congregants, will revamp the way the Center's facilities are powered and provide a savings of over $11,000 annually in its church energy bill.

"We are very excited that our solar panel installation was completed quickly and on-schedule.  As a non-profit organization, the cost savings the Center is receiving can be reinvested into programs that will impact our congregants and our community," said Dr. David Bruner, Sr. Minister and Spiritual Director of Center for Spiritual Living, San Jose.

The Center collaborated with CollectiveSun®, an impact investing platform that uses the power of community to help nonprofits raise the funds to achieve financial and environmental sustainability with solar power.

"CSL, San Jose assembled an amazing team to communicate the benefits of solar to their congregation," said Lee Barken, Chief Community Officer of CollectiveSun®.  "Nearly 90 individual members participated, each investing from $25 to $10,000."

The project's completion coincides with the announcement of an upcoming workshop on April 24th by Gary White, a climate activist trained by former Vice-President Al Gore and his Climate Reality Project.  The workshop will provide practical solutions and individual steps attendees can take to impact our planet in positive ways.

"I am thrilled to learn that the Center for Spiritual Living, San Jose has installed photo voltaic (PV) solar panels on its facility.  As a non-profit organization, CSL, San Jose is in the vanguard of delivering clean, renewable energy to its operation," said Gary White, Climate Reality Leader.

About CollectiveSun®
CollectiveSun is proud to be the only company in America that works exclusively with nonprofits to help them get solar. CollectiveSun offers nonprofits a less expensive option for going solar than a typical bank or solar financing institution because CollectiveSun leverages the power of a nonprofit's own community and membership base to make an investment, not a donation, with the full amount being repaid to the investors with annual principal and interest payments. CollectiveSun® believes promoting sustainability and financial responsibility enhances the important and compassionate service work performed by nonprofits in our communities. Visit:
