PRLog -- Dr. Matt Bruckel pioneered the TAUC healthcare model in 2008 with the goal of fundamentally improving emergency medical care. His mission was to build a state-of-the-
art medical facility where patients receive emergency medicine at a fraction of the cost of a trip to the ER. In April 2011 TAUC added its first CT Scanner at the Rock Hill/Webster Groves location. Building on this momentum, TAUC is set to launch CT capabilities in St. Charles in February and South County in May of 2016.
CT scanning utilizes a remarkably accurate medical technology that uses X-rays to create cross-sectional, 3D images of the human body. This is especially useful in revealing the internal organs and structure of the body. CT is one of the fastest and most accurate tools to examine the head, neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvis. Patients presenting with headaches, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, trauma, and complex fractures directly benefit from the diagnostic accuracy of this specialized equipment.
CT scans are painless and provide information to determine the best course of action for many patients. TAUC proudly provides CT scans at one-eighth of the cost of the hospital with check-in to check-out times of under an hour 85% of the time.
TAUC is expanding its reach in 2016 and early 2017, opening advanced medical facilities in Wentzville, Creve Coeur, St. Louis, Florissant, O’Fallon, and Oakville. These new locations will provide the same unique urgent care experience by operating as a low-cost, high-quality emergency room.
Walk-in patients are welcome every single day of the year with extended hours at the Rock Hill location from 6am-10pm and standard 8am-8pm hours at the Chesterfield, Town and Country, South County, St. Louis Hills and St. Charles locations.
