Chermside Named CEO of Resinate Materials Group

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Feb. 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Resinate Materials Group^® announced today that Brian Chermside has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer, in addition to his current role as company President. In this expanded role, Mr. Chermside will focus on driving operational excellence across company functions, in addition to managing corporate governance and strategy. Chermside has served on Resinate’s Board of Directors since 2015.

In a related move, Resinate founder Brian Phillips has assumed the position of Executive Chairman of the Board for Resinate Materials Group. As Executive Chairman, Mr. Phillips will focus on advancing Resinate’s vision through exploration and incubation of new process innovation.

“Brian Chermside came to Resinate with extensive leadership experience in the chemicals industry,” said Brian Phillips. “Over the past two years, he has developed operational excellence across all business functions, in addition to leading strategic planning for our specialty chemicals business. I am thrilled to have Brian assume the CEO position, and excited for the future of Resinate.”

In addition to the moves of Brian Phillips and Brian Chermside, Resinate recently announced the appointment of Rick Tabor as Resinate’s Chief Technology Officer, and Kris Weigal as Resinate’s Chief Commercial Officer.

Prior to joining Resinate, Mr. Chermside had a distinguished career at Dow Corning, where he served in executive leadership roles in Asia, Europe and the United States. While at Dow Corning, he also held several global leadership positions, including Corporate Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. Chermside holds a BBA from Central Michigan University and MBA from Youngstown University. He is a supporter of Junior Achievement, where he served as a member of the Worldwide Board of Directors for the organization.

Mr. Chermside will continue to be located at Resinate’s Plymouth, Michigan headquarters.
