Wakefield Author Releases Paranormal Crime Book Set in and Around Home Town

WAKEFIELD, U.K. - Feb. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Pearl A Gardner today announced the pre-release of her new book, ‘For the Missing Girls, a Kerry Malone, Psychic Novel’. The story is her debut paranormal book and is set in and around Wakefield, her home town. Local people will recognise many features and landscapes portrayed in the book.

“I love to write about my home town of Wakefield and the surrounding West Yorkshire countryside. My characters reflect the genuine, down to earth, Yorkshire grit of local people, and make my stories more realistic,” said Pearl. “By creating convincing characters and putting them in real locations I hope to enable readers to suspend belief and enjoy the story, no matter what the subject.”

Pearl went on to explain the reason for writing this book, which she hopes will be the first of many in the Kerry Malone series. “I’ve had moderate success as an indie author with my historical romances and science fiction novels, but I wanted to expand my scope. I’ve always had an interest in the spooky side of life, and I found it great fun, to get inside the mind of a clairvoyant.”

Pearl has many published novels in a variety of genres, This latest release features Kerry Malone, a clairvoyant. Detective Sergeant Dave Foster enlists her unique talents in the case of the abduction of some little girls. The spirit of a child comes through to help Kerry. Eventually she is drawn into the ages-old war of good versus evil. The story culminates in an epic showdown in Wakefield Cathedral.
