LANSING, Mich. - Feb. 12, 2016 - PRLog -- To mark the 25th Ride of the Michigander Bicycle Tour, the teams at Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance (MTGA) (http://michigantrails.org/), Michigan Fitness Foundation (MFF) (http://michiganfitness.org/) and Güd Marketing (http://www.gudmarketing.com/) have rolled out a new look complete with the Michigander Team Store, an online pop-up store open to the public in collaboration with Primal (https://www.primalcustompro.com/NewTeamMemberCreate.aspx?TeamCode=MTGA08090), the most trusted name in cycling apparel.

In the new logo, the shield that frames the design echoes the shield found on touring bicycle head plates, and it represents the landscape of Michigan’s rolling hills. It’s a fresh representation of the ride through the eyes of an artist.

The Michigander’s new design evolved out of planning and research sessions between board members and art director Terry Sieting, of Güd Marketing. Terry received his bachelor of arts in creative advertising from Michigan State University, worked as an art director in the liberal arts & sciences, athletics, and retail branding fields and understands the importance of conceptual design to convey a story through design. He is also a board member of the Mid-Michigan Creative Alliance, which is affiliated with the American Advertising Federation.

“Terry brings ideas to life with exploration and articulate execution in design and illustration,” shares Mary McGuire Slevin, Michigander Ride Director. “His process allows him to think, rethink, reshape and connect the creative dots needed to complete a project. He has a passion that shines through in the details with typography, color, space and texture.”

Translating this look to the Michigander's new line of ride wear offers cyclists a fresh, understated, contemporary look. Meeting the performance needs of the pros, while still being accessible to all with a non-date specific line of performance cycling clothing is what sets this line apart in the world of bicycle tours.

“The M is iconic for two reasons,” said Nancy Krupiarz, MTGA’s Executive Director. “It represents the M in Michigander and the handlebars of a bicycle. The color scheme they created is spot on—the blues represent the summer sky and fresh waters of the Great Lakes, while the greens represent the farmlands and forests riders experience throughout the tour.”

The Michigander Bicycle Tour is July 16-23 along West Michigan and Michigan’s Gold Coast. Cyclists will travel over paved trails, crushed limestone, and rural back roads, with events planned throughout the ride. This classic bicycle tour offers 2-Day, 6-Day and 8-Day options and includes breakfast and dinner daily, camping and full ride support. To register, visit www.michigander.bike.
