Florida Hospital Unveils Injector Opening at Daytona International Speedway’s New Stadium

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Feb. 10, 2016 - PRLog -- On a cold and blustery morning, Florida Hospital, one of four Founding Partners of Daytona International Speedway’s new motorsports stadium, unveiled its gate entrance, called an “injector,” at DAYTONA Rising.

Unlike any other sports venue, the entrance to the Florida Hospital injector features a flowing waterfall that represents life and vitality. This natural motif reoccurs throughout the 20,000 square feet of space, which is themed after the CREATION Health concept.

CREATION Health is an acronym that is centered on eight principles – Choice, Rest, Environment, Activity, Trust, Interpersonal relationships, Outlook, and Nutrition – and was created to help people improve their overall wellbeing and ultimately live a full and complete life.

Once visitors have ascended the stairs or escalator, they are greeted by an overhead tree canopy that transforms the concrete and steel into a truly unique and inviting environment. The overhead canopy takes fans through each of the four seasons, as well as a starry night sky.

The Florida Hospital injector also features fun and engaging interactive displays in addition to a mist wall to cool fans on warmer days. Featured in the interactive displays is NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and Florida Hospital ambassador Jamie McMurray.

“When fans can get inside the Florida Hospital injector and actually experience it themselves, they’ll see that it is unlike anything else,” said McMurray. “To me, this experience at the Speedway is a game changer and has really opened all the racetracks' eyes as to what experiences they can give racetrack fans.”

At the very top of the injector, guests can relax in comfortable seating on a grassy lawn that gives a birds-eye view of the city.

“Healthcare is changing and we hope to inspire visitors to live happier, healthier lives,” said Rob Fulbright, chief executive officer of the five Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties. “With this injector, and as the official healthcare provider of Daytona International Speedway, this partnership enables us to extend our healing ministry of Christ beyond the walls of our hospital and meet the community where they live, work and play.”

As the official healthcare provider of Daytona International Speedway, Florida Hospital handles all medical emergency situations, both on and off the track, and provides care to all Speedway guests, including drivers, crew members, NASCAR officials and employees, and fans.

Now that the Florida Hospital injector is officially open, the community is invited to a special open house on Feb. 17 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and can be one of the first to tour through the interactive experience.
