| 22 Young Adults Involved in Eckerd Programs to Receive New LaptopsEckerd Kids, a national child welfare organization headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, will provide these new laptops to youth in their Independent Living program.
By: Eckerd Kids Eckerd Kids worked with the Hillsborough County Department of Social Services and the Community Action Board to receive the laptops for youth in need. The twenty-two youth are currently enrolled in Eckerd’s Independent Living program, and have recently graduated from a previous leadership program where they learned life skills and were able to choose the career of their dreams. Many of the youth have never owned a computer of their own and will be able to take the computers to college and use while in school. Eckerd Kids staff, as well as Hillsborough County Community Action Board members will be in attendance. Refreshments will also be served.
